Hillcrest Shopping Centre Extension at 71–83 Coronation Road
Retail development management, Development Application coordination and commercial project delivery in Hillcrest, Queensland.
Project Overview
EVERETT Property Development Management was engaged by a repeat client to manage the extension of the existing shopping centre at 71–83 Coronation Road, Hillcrest.
The project involved expanding the established retail precinct to accommodate additional commercial floor space, strengthen the tenancy mix and improve the long-term value and performance of the shopping centre.
EVERETT coordinated the development strategy, consultant team, Development Application process and project planning. This provided the client with a single point of coordination across the planning, design and approval phases of the retail development.
The Development Application plans for the shopping centre extension were prepared by DA plan.
Hillcrest Retail and Commercial Development
The extension was planned to complement the existing Hillcrest shopping centre and support the commercial needs of the surrounding Hillcrest and Logan catchment.
The broader retail precinct includes a mix of uses such as a café, bottle shop, pharmacy, medical centre and physiotherapy office. The coordinated tenancy mix supports the centre’s role as a convenient local retail and service destination.
Planning and design coordination considered how the proposed extension would integrate with the existing centre, including customer access, vehicle circulation, pedestrian connections, car parking, tenancy servicing and infrastructure requirements.

- Loading, waste and tenancy servicing
- Site infrastructure requirements
- Integration with the existing built form
- Relevant planning requirements
